Talk basketball

Disagreement, rivalry, celebration, and criticism are welcome. Abuse aimed at another person is not. Debate the game and the prediction rather than attacking the user.

Not allowed

Threats, targeted harassment, bullying, stalking, or encouraging others to attack somebody.

Hateful content or slurs aimed at protected characteristics.

Sexual exploitation, graphic violence, or content that endangers a child.

Sharing private personal information without permission.

Spam, repetitive promotion, scams, phishing, malicious links, or coordinated manipulation.

Impersonation, deceptive identities, or attempts to influence rankings through multiple accounts.

Illegal content or instructions intended to cause harm.

Live game rooms

Live rooms move quickly. Keep messages relevant to the game, avoid flooding the room, and do not post deliberately false score or injury information as fact. Reactions and strong opinions are fine when they do not become abuse.

Fan leagues and private leagues

Fan leagues are shared spaces for everyone who chose that club as their favourite team. Private-league owners may set additional expectations for their league, but those expectations cannot override these guidelines.

Report and block

Use a message's action menu to report content or block its author. Reports are for genuine safety, abuse, spam, or rule violations. Do not submit false reports to punish another user.

Blocking hides interaction with that account. A report allows authorised BasketScore administrators to review the relevant message and context.

Moderation

BasketScore may remove messages, restrict chat access, lock a room, suspend an account, or terminate access. Decisions consider severity, context, repeated behaviour, account history, and risks to other users or competition integrity.

Urgent threats or apparent illegal activity may be referred to the appropriate service provider or authority when required to protect users or comply with law.
